Contractor Check-Up

A Repair Verification is a follow-up inspection to your original general home inspection after required or recommended repairs and/or modifications have been made by a licensed contractor. The objective is to confirm that the work performed was done right and any prior issues observed by the inspector have been resolved. A Contractor Check-Up is an inspection of any work done by a licensed contractor in order to verify that the work was/is being performed correctly. This type of inspection can be requested any time a property owner wishes to “check-up” on a contractors work to be sure they are doing the job they proposed. We utilize infrared thermal imaging cameras and other tools where applicable to aid in verifying that insulation and leak repairs have been done correctly. Each inspection is conducted under the same guidelines as a general home inspection as proposed in the InterNACHI SOP. An updated report is usually issued within 24 hours detailing the observations made during the inspection. Other Contractor Check-Up services include:

  • Project and contractor oversight
  • New-construction phase inspections
  • Final walk-through inspections
  • One-Year Builder’s Warranty Inspections
